Behind the Design
How it Started
As a passionate volleyball player with experience playing in school and club, I know how important it is to wear gear that reflects your love for the sport. I haven't found designs that speak to the fun and honesty of the game while also being stylish and wearable. That's when I decided to design my own shirts.
Inspiration
The Volley Collection draws inspiration from phrases commonly used in volleyball and playful stereotypes associated with each position. For example, the term "Block Party" captures the excitement of a team performing well in blocking, while there’s a fun stereotype that setters only set the outside hitters. I understood that the design's look was crucial; I wanted to avoid anything that might come off as cringy. Therefore, I opted for a minimalist approach to my oversized tees, keeping current trends in mind. The goal of these shirts was to create a style that fits seamlessly into streetwear, making them versatile enough to wear with your everyday fits.
